The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self-assessment, career independence and job hardiness on teachers' job performance. The research method was causal correlation. The statistical population consisted of all teachers working in education and training in Chaiparat city (West Azarbaijan) in the academic year of 97-96. 306 of them were selected using random cluster sampling. The instruments for the present study included four job toughness questionnaires of Moreno-Jiménez, Rodríguez-Muñoz, Hernández, Blanco (2014), Patterson Job Performance (1990), Judge, Erez, Bono, Thoresen (2003) and Ganster's Independence (1989). The content validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by experts and internal reliability with Cronbach's alpha test, 0.79 for hardiness questionnaire, job performance was 0.84, axial self-evaluation was 0.79, and job independence was 0.85. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation test and path analysis method to evaluate the causal model using SPSS and AMOS software. The results showed a positive, direct, and significant relationship between job performance with job hardiness, job independence and axial self-evaluation (P <0.001). In addition, research data was fitted with conceptual model of research, and structural equation model showed that it is possible to explain the job performance of teachers through job hardiness and job independence.
